Im going to encourage this thread be closed off regardless of the humor. Had our notorious
youth checked the 4 cylinder FAQ the second post outlines in detail (with pretty pictures)
how to pull codes. He did not want to, got his share of flame and now its degraded into an
insult battle.

It is amusing, im not going to deny that. But it seems that the members who have answered
these questions time and time again previously for others who did not spend some time
reading/looking first are just letting some steam off because the opportunity presented itself.

Im not even going to dignify that last retort with a response. However I will say its not the
best idea to come to a site with loads of knowledgeable people and start ticking them off
one by one. Good luck to you with future questions and I can only pray something was
learned.

Although, common sense does include the memorization and application of the definition of the word "DIAGNOSTIC" which is indeed on the lid of the place where the paperclip needs to go :)

Now I'm just being annoying

And I would say HOLY CRAP you are one helpless child. How would you know? I dunno, if you have eyes, maybe? If you can read a manual, maybe? If you can read at all, maybe? Sheesh... Mom has to spoonfeed you your cereal, too?

Its already been spelled out, although in bits and bobs, so I'll be super nice and write a miniature manual for you, using small words.

Pop the hood. I hope you can do this.

Open the hood and walk over to the drivers side front wheel.

Look into the engine bay, and near the firewall there is a little black box, it says "DIAGNOSTIC" on it.

Figure out the clip on it to open it. There is a diagram on the inside of the lid.

Jump TEN and GROUND using a paperclip. You must unfold the paperclip a bit to do this. If its too hard, go find some wire. Also, the paperclip must NOT be plastic coated.

Go back a page or two and read that post about pulling codes. It was the one with the big picture and table.

If you cry or complain anymore, I'm submitting my vote for bannage.

I posted the picture and you couldn't even find where the box was? You had to have Ryan tell you step by step just to get to it? My post with the quotes from other people that I SEARCHED for told you what you had to do and where it was (the pretty picture). I agree with SuperK.
