Ya, Josh hit it on the head. Dave's Car has a new owner that got it into 10's, then Some other guy I think with a KL-ZE Turbo setup ran like 10s with full interior...

Use a Kaaz Diff in it with Lucas 80w90 Heavy Duty Gear Oil w/ 1 bottl of Lucas Trans Fix and you might hold it...for a little while. Also check out the post on the Pro LX box upgrade options we did not to long ago. Yoda and I delved pretty deep into the topic.

Recommend:

-Billet Dog Gears & Shafts
-Ceramic coat the bellhousings on the inside to keep heat out of the metal
-Kaaz Mazdaspeed Protege LSD w/ full lock up option
-Integrate a front mount oil cooler and electric pump to cool trans fluid

With those mods it should take 700HP as long as your block doesn't twist the tranny case.

Also...I'd love some pics of the tranny you just broke...or the pieces them selves so I can see what failed....I'm guessing the spider gears crumbled if you still had the stock diff in it. Thank you!
