The hotspot is too regular, and there is no evidence of a puddle of water for the HID shot, unlike the halogen projector low shot. One theory is that it may be caused by the housing itself, since the bottom extends out more due to the design. either way thats the best your gonna do for the mx3

The MX-3 projectors definitely have hotspots. They look like little half circles over the cutoff.
