i'm pretty sure that the zx2 conversion is both 1.8" front and back
believe what you want, Fact is, i OWN These springs and have htem on my car and they don't sit right.
zx2 != mx3. front/rear weight is different. ZX2 actually weighs less than a GS.

Another thing...
it sits so uneven (for my tastes at least) that I ordered some MX-3 B+G's and plan to swap them out & get rid of the ZX2 springs. I just can't stand having a shitty looking, half-assed lowering job on my car.

Proof (took these a couple days after installin em)
Also keep in mind the rear wheels have 205/50R16's while the fronts have 205/55R15's. This meaning the rears are BIGGER in diameter and theroetically should fill the wheelgap b/c of this. Now that I have all 4 of my honeycomb rims on, it looks even more out of place.

I thought you had springtech's not zx2's,
Jay, my springs are springtech brand but are for a ZX2.
Dang Gro... You need to clean up those brakes

i'm not trying to antagonize anyone, or to be too long-winded about this whole subject, but rather i'm just tryin' to understand....
-if an uneven drop is so undesirable and doesn't look right, than how come 3 of the 5 spring sets sold on corksport have an uneven drop for front and back?
-oh yea, and Gro, u recommended not to use the ZX2's springs for an mx-3, and i know that they are Eibach's.... but are the Eibach's on corksport the same ones you're talking about (the ZX2 ones), or r they different and good to use for an mx-3?

thanks for all the help...

I don't know what the MX3 eibachs look like when installed, but those springs are different than the ZX2
ZX2 != MX3. Eibach is a reputable company that doesn't make a "one-size-fits all" peice of s--- spring like dropzone, arospeed and others. They test their springs on every application & adjust the spring rates & coil heights to make sure it improves performance. But again, I dunno if they still would sit level. For all we know eibach did their tests on a 4cyl mx3 and if you install them on a GS the front will sit lower b/c of the weight of the K8.

well then since you seem to know a lot about this area gro, what would you recommend then? it seems that the general consensus is that the ZX2's Tokico's are a good strut, so it looks like that's probably what i'm gonna go w/ (unless you can convince me otherwise

).... what springs would work well w/ these? i know i'll probably get the answer, "well it all depends on what you want, what you need, your budget, your application etc. etc." welllllll....
-i want a modest drop (nothing "slammed", because i guess i'm just not cool enough yet to have my car 1 inch off the ground

... probably a 2" drop or less would be what i'm looking for)
-i ordered a MS front, and don't wanna have to buy a new one every week to replace a broken one
-i don't drive crazy or anything, but do like to have fun every now and again
-i don't mind a rough ride, i just want my kidneys to still be intact when i park the vehicle
-and my budget for springs is somewhere under $300, and closer to $200 if feasible
P.S. i don't really want coilovers either.... i'm a simple man

H&R....despite their claim that it lowers it 1.25", on most of the mx3's i've seen they look lower.
B+G 1.6 all around. B+G gets no credit for kicking a-- & no one really has these springs. I've ridden in 4 cars w/B+G"s and I still think they are the best riding cars i've been in. Firm, yet controlled, lowering was even, but I've never been in an mx w/B+G's, only 2 proteges, my old festiva & my friends civic.
You won't have a problem w/the mazdaspeed front end. Just don't drive over speed humps fast as s--- and you won't ruin it. I can drive like an a-- and still never scratch the bumper up, most of the damage I have is from me parking my car too close to curb's and its just paint that scratched off :-/
