you know how you can tell ricer from racer. Just ask them to race you when they talk s*** about your car. thats what i did last friday when some dude with protege was talking how he beat mx3 on street "and it was sooo far behind" All i had to do is ask him "lets race" and he backed out of it. but he was proud enough to show off his "neon lights, engine dress up kit and lots of gauges, which probably werent even functional since his car was all stock, nothing to hook up those gauges to." man i hate ricers.

Not really much in my town to race. All that is around here is losers with there civics, neons, sunfires, and cavaliers with painted black hoods and the worste sounding exhausts created. None are much of a challenge. Always funny to see some kid in his new civic coupe with racing stickers in the windows that his daddy bought for him to get destroyed by a 10 year old car with a 1.8 V6. I always shake my head at them or point and laugh everytime I see them.

On the flip side, cars that have beat me....
Brand new M3
90's turbo civic
90's turbo sentra
z06 corvette
Prelude
Wrx STI
Tiburon (n2o)

Cars that I can recall beating
Prelude
5.0 'stang
4.6 'stang
v6 camaro
supercharged 2.5 probe (won one, lost one)
Eclipse Gst (won one ,lost one)
v8 Rx7
v6 accord
tons of civics
Lexus IS300

Keep in mind, all races were when I had my 50 lb chrome rims and a VERY clogged air filter. I now have 16.5 lb adr wheels and a brand new foam air filter. Since the air filter install I've only raced a brand new maxima and annhilated him. Installing the zex kit this week, going to the track on Sat. Hoping to be in mid-high 13's.

Yup, each rim and tire were combo was 50 lbs. The clogged air cleaner slowed me down more than the rims though. Yes, it was a v8 rx7. Not the latest gen, but two before. The guy pulled over and showed me the engine. You ask why a v8? More reliable, rock solid engine, and parts are everywhere.
