Make sure they'll warranty the product, since it does affect the handling of the car, it should be considered a safety hazard if it's not properly designed. That's the beauty of CorkSport... Try to find another autoparts manufacturer maybe?

no corksport never wanted to do it. Between this forum and the german forums i had enough names too. But they backed out of the group buy. I have been looking around for a fabricator to still make one for me lol.I really believe in this mod...

Sorry to be a ball buster, but today i've lowered my front subframe.

I've noticed you can't get the front swaybar of the car, without lowering the front subframe.

Believe me when I say it's not that easy without an engine in the car; let alone stand with an engine in it.

Damn, that sucks. Oh well, Better to be ball busted by someone who is already doing something, then to be in the middle of trying to do it. Thanks for the info! I might try it one day anyway, who knows?

well i knew the engine or the sub frame would have to come out but im jsut sad corksport never came through although i had enough people back then. My hunt is still on for a actual mazdaspeed front bar or a business to custom fab a 25mm one out of spring steel.

I agree that really bows, I would love to upgrade a front, bar. I had a Honda Del Sol a few years back that had a rear bar. OMG! I loved it, it felt like a go kart! :love2:

im still working on the zx2 front bar project don't worry :) but yes to put in a new bar you would deffinitly have to support the engine and trans, then remove the subframe to put the new bar in.

SO... I have an update in a long while. I bought a zx2 front sway bar. Ill get a mm measurement soon, I think it is 24mm, but I'll have to check, but I can say for sure it larger then stock. I have pics to put up later. I bought it from zxtuner.com and it came with energy suspension poly bushings. I have it installed and only ran into a small problem. The end links are switched from a horizontal mount(zx2) to vertical(mx3.) But the mounting hole for the protege is still in the design of the LCA and after you remove the sway end links you can use the hole just below the link for the straight bolt link. On a note of the straight bolt link, I received a link that was too short for the application, though I simply solved it by getting the slightly longer, or next size longer pack from energy suspension(9.8117R.) The only catch is to use the short cylinder(spacer?) from the short links in the sway package from zxtuner instead of the long cylinders(spacer?) from the new energy suspension package.
