lesson learned, if u hate cops buy a radar detector and laser jammers as many as u can afford for front, back, sides. then ure invisible and i love seeing cops when they cant read your speed, no speed no evidence simple as that, cant do nothing about it ha ha stupid cops, theyre just kids that were molested and bullied and theyre angry at everyone so when they grew up they decided to get back at everyone by being cop, or simply being "road bully" lol

***** Disclosure: I prolly shouldn't be disclosing this information, and if the moderators or administrators feel it is inappropriate, they are free to delete it with my consent*****
This is basically a sure fire way to get out of a speeding ticket. (it may work for others, but the steps I include are for speeding)
1: When you get pulled over, make sure you look at the radar gun.
Sometimes the police will erase the gun before he/she comes to your car. If the speed isn't captured on the gun when you request to see, he/she can NOT give you a ticket.
2: Go to court
9 times out of 10 the police officer will not show up in court. If he/she not there to defend his ticket, you win in default.
3: Ask for certification
If the officer is not certified to use the gun, he can NOT clock your speed. If he used the gun without certification, your ticket is void. (would amaze you how many officers use the radar gun without certification)
4: Request radar printout
While in court, you can request the documents stating the readout of the gun for the night. They usually only keep these on hand for 7 to 10 days, and your court appearance won't be until well after this time period. If he/she can not provide these documents, you win by default.
I remember there being 4 steps, but I can't remember the fourth. If I remember I will put it in. Be aware that if the cop does show up in court, and does have the documentation, you will have to pay the ticket plus court fees. Usually not more than about $50, but it would suck to pay $90 for a $40 ticket. I have done this on 2 occasions, and won on default both times because the cop did not show up. Also, IIRC your insurance will still be affected because they will post the moving violation as soon as they file the paperwork. This method will only get you out of paying (sometimes) it's not a free ticket to speed.
I told you I'd remember the other step :p
[ April 29, 2003: Message edited by: VizualXTC ]

one more thing. Police cruisers have what they call a "Police Package" which is a performance package put on all police cars. This will give them a top speed of 150MPH (because few stock cars that are used in drug busts, traffic infractions, and kidnapping type cases can exceede 150MPH) and a superior suspension and safety package. The ONLY way to outrun a cop is to outsmart the cop. If you make 4 left turns before he turns his lights on, he can't pull you over. If you drive 1 mile before he turns his lights on, he can't pull you over. I have always had the dream of running from the police. I don't wanna do anything wrong to have to, just want the thrill of it ya know? But I'd never do it because it's stupid and an easy way to get myself and/or others killed. The ticket, be it $40 or $500 is not worth killing an innocent bystander. I do know ways to get away, and I do know loopholes in the system, but I would NEVER use them unless it's a victimless crime. My brother was tellin me to slow down the other day while I was on the freeway and I said something that even suprised myself. I said "If I get pulled over, I deserve the ticket." Wow, I must be growing up :D

you'll say this until something happens to you that you'll need a cop to help you out. Then what'll happen? you'll go crying to them begging for help. and don't say "no I wont" because we all know you will. if your car was stolen what would you do just shrug it off and buy another car? I dont think so

Than why dont you goto court and use that as an argument? Maybe they'll feel sorry for you. 2 wrongs dont make a right, especially since it has nothing to do with your moms incident, your just using it as an excuse to break the law, very immature if i say so. So dont say i dont feel sorry about your mom cause i do, but ignorantely breaking the law wont change things, catch the guy that did it or heal your mom. You never know, one day your speeding, cause an accident, and hurt someone that way that person hurt your mom.
I've also dreamed about running from the cops, just for the thril of it, but would never have the guts or the lack of brains to do it
Funny, i just got home from work right now, 2am driving with my underbody neons on, doing the speed limit and i see some headlights comming up pretty fast, i turn left at the lights and he follows, i finally see then thats its a cop, no worries, he follows be for 3 blocks, pulls over, turns back in the other direction and turns right at the lights, back the direction he came...not doing anything wrong, cant pull me over :D

depends where you live, here on Ontario, as long as the bulbs are not visible, its not illegal, its illegal to have anything else but the legal colors shinning forwards or backwards or as your signals, since my neons only shine downwards, its not illegal :D Well, except for my sides, i cant hide them well enough so they shine sideways a bit, you cant see them unless your looking level to them, but the bulb is still visible, so i guess its upto them, but i didnt read anything ye on light specification on the side of the car, just front and back

I think that we all speed from time to time and speaking for myself I constantly drive 10km above the speed-limit when not within a city.
As I made the choise, I am the one to pay when I get caught by the police.
The Point is: You made the choise of breaking the law, so pay the price for getting caught.
If you're old enough to drive a car fast enough to break the speed limit, you're old enough to pay the fine.

Earlier tonight i got 3 traffic tickets. Two (2) C$110.00 for blue side markers (one per bulb), and One (1) C$110.00 for failing to display two plates.
The officer also made it clear to me that i was going 42km/h over the speed limit. However, he didn't give me this ticket.
I was fully aware i was speeding, i was aware i had no front plate, and i was aware that i had blue side markers. I was 99.9% sure that i was going to get pulled over one day for all this ****. Basically what im saying is that if you know for a fact you're breaking the law...then suck it up when you get the ticket(s).
Oh, and for the record....a C$40.00 ticket is nothing (I can't belive you're venting about it). I would have seriously tried to hand the cop a $50 out of my wallet and say keep the change (IF i knew everything on my car was legal, and that i didn't break any other laws).
[ May 06, 2003: Message edited by: zytariuk ]

Yes, we can all complain about getting a ticket.
Things to keep in mind.
1. Police do not make the law, so complain to the
law-makers
2. If you want to speed, go to the track.
Plus, it looks cool to cruise around, slowly.
3. Keep in mind, the same police that pull you over, bust drug dealers, thieves, sex-offenders, and generally keep our world safe.

Just my two cents, in American dollars. :)
