I actually think that is awesome. I'd love to own an electric car. And an RX-7? Daym. I like the 7 for the styling anyway, for power I'd rather make a "forgotten car" fast. (mx-3)

Sorry guys but I have to say that what they did to that RX-7 is a crime. Its like someone cut its balls off. "its within 3 seconds of its original 0-60 time" ohhh, neato! plus you get to recharge it every 30 miles, better not go too far from home! That means it has the acceleration of a Civic and the range of a go-kart. Why you would take a world class sports car and turn it into a useless science fair project is beyond me. I would be embarassed to be seen in that car especially when a civic revs on me at a light. Whoever built that car should be locked away and never allowed to touch another car for as long as he lives. I'd rather drive a primered CRX that somoked and had a 6 foot high aluminum wing and 30 Rype-R stickers than that poor, mutilated RX-7!!

I think that was a great project! The car would have almost for sure gone to the scrap yard because of needing a $7000 repair, so the guy takes what is still good on the car (body, tranny) and converts it. It was a unique car to change, and he did a really good job! I wouldn't be embarassed to drive around in it, and the environmentalists will love you! There are probably special drag races for hibrids and electrics, and I think this will hold its own.

Is that a push cart?
I think that ENORMOUS wing must be a handle to push that thing home when the battery runs dry.
on a serious note: you gotta respect the time and effort put in to the conversion, but then you also gotta ask why the hell he just didnt buy a Hybrid? I mean ehy wreck a beautiful sports car and make it into a hopped up golf cart?
I dunno?

The car LOOKS amazing, the wing doesnt look bad at all...but the conversion is something unique. I'm not sure if i like it or not. I myself would definitely not do that to an rx-7, but ya gotta consider this...maybe hes some old man who doesnt need to go fast, and wants to help the environment or something like that, yet he still wants to be cruisin' around a pimp ride... :p who knows, i guess not tooo many people like it since there are 0 bids on it.

he might think he is saving the environment, but tell me, where does the electricity to recharge the batteries come from?? thats right, from a power plant that either burns coal, gas, or oil, back to the same old sh*t.

well, here in ALBERTA we use coal, and that makes lots of pollutants, mainly just carbon dioxides. electricity is a very expensive form of power too, its alot cheaper to burn gas,or coal, and the cars now days are so efficient that there is little to basically no carbon monoxides being put into the atmosphere, 2000+ models.
