They have something similar to that heere in ontario, local police were pulling cars over last month and testing the exaust with some mobile equipment. And asking everyone for there drive clean papers.

That sucks, Cali isn't just doing that, this is full dyno under load, hood pop-ups and the whole entire car is inspected, computer codes are checked for compliance with there computer programs. You're entire cars data could be entered into there computer w/out you knowing it.

That is just ridiculous. It really pisses me off that our tax dollars are going to fund BS like that. I used to live in Cali and they are so strict with emmissions. Funny thing is there is no practical reason for this it is just some tree-hugging politican trying to advance his/her career by making it look like they care for the environment. Of course it doesn't affect them because they and every other rich "environementally-concious" a**hole drives a brand new Mercedes SUV. Its people who can't afford a new car every year who are driving cars that are 10 and 15 years old that are being hurt.<p>What makes me even angrier is the fact that these Californians are starting to migrate to Arizona-mx3man83 will back me up on this- where things are still relatively free. Already they are trying their best to take away our modified cars, our guns, and anything else that doesn't comply with their politically correct lifestyle. Airzona is still the wild west, and any hippie or liberal who wants to take that away needs to go back to where they came from

This will most likely affect your state in a few years, saw on the news the other night that california also wants to charge $100 for emissions testing at certain locations to help pay for there new equipment, even though it is already paid for by our tax dollars, and is something that almost noone even wants to do. California is also partial to those who drive hybrid cars with the electric motors in them, they have created parking spots up front with the handicapped people around the state for those who drive hybrids. Hollywood and politicians with no life will be the ones driving stricter laws and things like this into place, California failed to meet its air quality specs this year and is planning to push its emissions void law back from 30 yrs. to 45 yrs. C.A.R.B rules did not help with the pollution problem (granted it was created mostly to curb street racing), but neither will passing this law. California will constantly have pollution problems and will be a "leader" in "resolving" the issue with these types of solutions. California couldn't meet its air quality standards again, and the vintage car community will be the ones to pay for it if the law passes.
