Looking for a new car

Post by sonix mx3 »

well, it's going to cost more than the car's worth to fix, and i cant see spending any more money on my MX-3. It was a fun little car, but it seems like it's a money pit. I'm looking for something 97 and up. Maybe a 200SX se-r, or a turbo DSM. any suggestions?

Oh, and by the way, if anyone in the tampa area is interested in my MX-3 i'm selling it for aroun $750. it needs a new headlight, a paintjob, an alternator, and a water pump. i would be selling it with the rims, but without the stereo system. with maybe a 750-1000 dollars worth of work it would be in great shape. the motor itself is perfect with 103,000 miles. the belts snapped a last week and i had them replaced, but now the battery wont stay charged and she's overheating. So the car needs a new water pump, new alternator, and a new thermostat. the repairs are about 600-700 dollars, but i'm sick of sinking money into it. it's got maybe 10,000 miles on the new clutch, new brakes, the interiors in good shape, but a little body work is needed. the engine doesnt leak, it doesnt smoke and is in good running order except for the parts mentioned above.
