Can anyone please help me. Info on Chrones disease?

Hey all,<P> I was wondering if anyone had some info on this disease. I know what it is but I am not sure if it affects you mentally in any way. My girl has this disease and she is acting irrationally. She knows I love her but she cannot understand why I am trying to help her. She keeps running away and I dont know why. I am not a bad guy at all and she knows this. I know Chrones takes vitamins and electrolytes out of your body. Could this take enough out to make you act this way? Everything was fine til she started to get really sick. Please help if you can. Thank you.

eck, not cool to have at all. How old is she? Im sure shes more afraid than anything and well if shes a teenager than well its defently going to be freaky. My friend has Chrones. Shes a couple years younger then me (18) and she just gets upset and frustrated cause sometimes she cant even leave the house or go anywhere on the weekends with us cause shes allwayz feelin bad and weak even with whatever supplements the doctor gave her thats suppose to help with her energy. Anywayz, I think shes more upset than anything cause as much as her rents and her friends want to help theres not the one thing that she wants most and thats the cure so she can be normal and stuff. As far as I know theres not a mental connection to it, but Im not really sure. I dont think we could ever find any information that was more detailed than what a doctor could tell you. There are boards out there though that you can talk to other people who have or know someone with chrones along with other illness's. Have you tried any of those?

my mother has an IBD.....yes! she will have some problems....my mother has ulcerative colitis and sometimes refuses to leave her apt. chron's is close to what my mother has only it it affects a different part of your intestines......i believe it is inherited and theory is that it set off by some kind of bacteria or a virus...unfortunately..but she will need a lot of support, physically AND emotionally ....geez i can't tell ya how many times my mother has needed me that way....
