TICKING ALSO!!!!!!

ok the head was just rebuilt and the valves grinded, bad one replaced. i have everything back together now and i am hearing a ticking coming from the head. sounds like almost its a rocker arm or something. any ideas?

dude, give it some time. I had a friend of mine completely rebuild the head on his and the machine shop told him that it would tick for a while. And man did this thing tick. Anways the guy said in about a week or two the noise will just suddenly stop and sound whisper quiet. Well in exactly 7 days from installation just driving down the road, all of a sudden the noise ceased. All was fine from then on....its been 2 years since and no adverse side effects. Actually the car runs stronger then ever. I woulnd't worry if I were you just yet unless you question the head work.
