The plates go over the box type part in the unibody. It replaces where the old box went. It bolts down to the braces witht he plastic part and where the coolent overflow resovor sits. I will go ahead and take some pics tomorrow for you.

Ok. They are posted up on my Cardomain Site. Don't be as nice to the stuff. It involves a little pushing and whatnot. It is a tight sqeeze.

Page 8.

A removed my Resevore after the first pic to show you how I mounted the metal sheets or covers better.

thank you clayton! :2thumbsup: i also did something that helped it out a little. when i put those covers on there, the intake seemed restrictive because the filter only gets air from a couple holes so i took my grinder and grinded a larger hole behind the bumper to expose the filter. now i can hear the intake a lot better. it's fun to drive :driver:

Only reason i didn't do that is because i have the MS bumper so It has a hole that goes straight into that hole. I didn't want water to get in, so i kept the hole small. If you have the stock bumper then that should be perfect. That is what the they did on the Corksport MX-3.

Hello all,

I am new here and I am interested in installing a CAI.

My request, Clayton can you take a picture of where the the Cone comes out of the body?

Hm, I had mine installed a while ago but without the heatshield, because I didn't know where it went at the time. But anyway, I couldn't get to the tranny fluid checking thing. It was RIGHT under the tubing that connects to the TB.
I had to remove it, and use the old crappy black tube that comes with the car.

Anyone know how to get around that??

It is just something you have to work around. But the cone doesn't come out of the body at all. It is located in a box type area below the coolent overflow.

is it just me or does the intake tube rub against the coolant reservoir?

It all depends on how you use the peices, and how you locate them.
Personally, MY intake filters end is pressed RIGHT up againsed the back of the headlight. :p

Its okay though.
