Hay thanks for replying man. I emailed you. Anyways im planning on the B6T swap in the spring and was wondering how accurate the 4 cyl faq is, basically all i wanna do is swap in the engine and not change anything that needs to be swapped to make this engine work... If at all possible some sort of walkthrough. But that is asking a lot. Anyways get back to me via email, we can chat about the swap. i have a lotta questions about this swap, it compared to the BPT swap since i know the BPT swap would include changing gearbox's.
THanks

you don't "NEED" to change the trans on a bpt swap. most just prefer to. you have the sohc, so you already have the axles you'd need if you kept the f-series.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

Thanks... So basically what do it "NEED" as in to make the BPT work in my car. What all needs to be swapped? Thats what im looking for. i know its best to swap everything to get all the power of the BPT, but my SOHC is gonna die soon (hopfully it makes it through the winter) and i wanna get the BPT or B6T swap done. Any info would be great... Thanks

honestly if you plan on making any kind of real power (even with the B6T) i would upgrade to the Protege LX tranny from the start. i've gone through two SOHC tranny's and am in the final stages of putting a Pro LX tranny in. I've had nothing but problems trying to source the parts needed to do it however so i would begin your search now...
