i've heard that its bad, but i have no evidence or proof whatsoever. i'd be concerned about doing it though, especially with the automatic MX-3 trannies being pure crap most of the time..

um i wouldnt do that,
our autos have the L and S on them, i believe these are for use in adverse driving conditions in order for the tranny to do some of the braking.
so shifting through these really doesnt make much sense to me. also do u shift right into drive from these gears ? cause i dont know if thats good either.
anyway just dont do it cause our transmission arnt known for the quality lol :D

No you dont need to press the brake to go through these gears. They go freely but I wouldnt recommend shifting like that. Like stated before, auto mx-3 trannies are trash.

it is ok to go from L to S to D. but i wouldn't release the gas in between gears there is no need to. i even gear down.

low and seccond are actually for like hills and passing the same with the hold button. but i dont care about it too much i rod on it quite a bit. the clutches slip everyso often but its probably because the origional owner never changed the tranny fluid. just my 2 cents :)
