trans axle

when i make turns my car makes a loud noise and bucks as soon as it happened i took it to my mechanic and he told me it was the trans axle, what do i need to do and how much will it cost, ballpark? I'd appreciate the help. Thanks

same thing happened to mine and i'm getting it fixed right now. Depending on the price of the transmission, you're looking at about $700-$1000 if you don't do it yourself. Mine will cost $1000, but i'm getting a transmission, clutch, etc., plus installation. Now would be a good time to do an engine swap if you were thinking about doing one.

is the "noise" a popping/clicking sound? if so, it's your cv axles...about $65 each side.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.
