high flow cat converter

Post by Krist B. »

i wanna upgrade my cat. it seems like no high flow cat for mx3 application. so i think the universal cat is the way to go, but what size of inlet&outlet of cat should i pick? or does it depend on the size of my piping thru muffler?

I found my hi flow cat from summit racing for $60 that's including shipping. It's universal.

Either go with a carsound cat or one off of a 93 3/4 ton vortec 350 chevy pickup. Both flow about the same. Read an article about it once.

better yet get a aftermarket header and a aftermarket cat.. the DOHC exsaust system has two cats.. one immediatly after the header as in the header dumps strait into it, and the the more visable underneath the motor.
