A/C problem

My 92 gs has started to give me an a/c problem. If I get in and turn it on it will work for about 5-10 minutes then the compreesor cuts off. I discovered that if I am on the highway I can turn the car off, coast for a minute, restart, then it will work again for 5-10 minutes. I got an a/c relay from a junkyard. When the a/c stopped working, I systematically switvhed all 3 relays. This did not help, so I assume the relay from the junkyard was good, and it is some other problem. When the a/c is working, it gets Very cold. It does not seem to cycle on and off like it used to. It just cycles to off and won't come back on unless I shut the car off for a minute. Help! It is Hot here in Alabama.

Won't someone help. I see messages posted after mine that got up to 34 replies. Won't someone help me. I don't think I have a big problem. Probably something simple.
