intake for 1.6

Can anyone give me some tips on making a custom intake please. I want to make my own since i havn't found anywhere to buy one and it doesn't look that hard. Thanks.

I wanted to buy an intake myself but all the ones i found for the mx are for the v6 so i thought about buying a universal one but i'm not sure if its gonna fit it says it will fit all 3" od pipes what did you guys do did you buy one or should i just make one thanks alot

Depends on what type of intake you want do you want a cold air intake or just to have a "intake" i have pictues of my old intake up at <A HREF="http://nbi.virtualave.net/mx3/mx3.html" TARGET=_blank>http://nbi.virtualave.net/mx3/mx3.html</A> i think thas the url. Which for that its realy wasy i will get some pictues of my current cold air up.. All i had to use was some pvc pipeing for the bend... and cut some holes in the frame =]

would i be able o buy a cai or would i have to start with the regular one and make the cai? is there a cai out there that i can just buy?
