Warming Up Car??
Warming Up Car??
My car takes a while about 4 mins for the rpm's to get to 1,000, when I start it, starts at around 1,500.... does that seem right?

Sounds right to me... if someone could back me up on this. The reason why it's at 1500rpm when you start it up cold is because of the automatic choke... it stays high so that it won't stall.

Re: Warming Up Car??
Yea I usually let my mx-3 warm up for 4-5 minutes even in the summer.<P>I find it runs better if you do that instead of just driving off right away.

My V6 also start at 1500 rpm and then goes down to around 1000. **shrugs** It's like that in most car with auto-choker
