Mass Air Sensor Q

Post by T6 »

I recently tried to install the PRM intake an I disconnected the plug on top of the air sensor and the wires that were connected inside came loose. My car starts without it in, but it starts to shake. It won't start with it the plug in though. Has this happened to anyone else? How do I reconnect the wires? Please Help, Thanks.

did you rip the wires inside the MAF, like under the black plastic cover thing? i did this (didn't realize all you have to do is unclip two little metal things and it comes right off) and well i had to buy a new one so i went a head and got an 88 N/A RX-7 one. works great. i had to get some 3" pipe work done to get it to fit though.

My wires came loose on mine and I had to shake it to get it to idle right. Then, it wouldn't fix and my idle wouln't stay stable. I took it to a mechanic and they charged me $40 to fix it with epoxy. No more problem.
