Here's a cheap way if you want loud outside and not ins
I just thought of something today (I'm probably not the first to have this idea). Yesterday I removed my bask seat and all the carpet from the trunk (because I'm going to the drag strip this weekend) and I realized my exhaust was louder w/o the back seats. So this came to my mind : If the back seats are able to absorbate some of the exhaust noise, maybe I could remove the plastic panel in the trunk, add some isolating stuff they put in house wall (I don't know what it's called in english), and put back the panels.
-What do you think?
-Do you think it could lower the inside vibration and sound comming from my exhaust?

Maybe that would work

I just gave it a try and it's not a big success. No big difference.

I've sound proofed a few rooms and used a fiber bourd that costs @ $10. for a 4'x8' sheet. It seems to work. There is also like a carpet pad/insulator which works pretty good.

Any audio shop sells isolating spray that is suppose to work they also have it in a mat, but what is suppose help with sound noise it should do the same affect.
For like $12.00 it would be worth a shot.
