After a very very long search I've found some brake disks that fit the Mazdaspeed 6 calipers.

I couldn't resist anymore to buy some cusco camber plates.

After some good searches I've found a good deal on a new front set, + another deal on the rear set.

Now just to wait for them to arrive.

Installed the cusco's on 3 of the 4, than I had to go for an appointment.

The rears need to move the bolts from the most outer hole to one more inner, otherwise they'll hit the body.

Also had to fix some rust on the passenger side. (or well, my welder)

BIG MISTAKE ! you have to turn plate 1/4 !!!3
Hope you can see what I mean here :

Camber is made by different position of the plate from outside the car to inside NOT from rear to front !!!!

I will update the Brake disk part once I've actually driven the car

Don't want to start talking about something that hasn't been proven yet.

Of course did some more work:

Remounted new balljoints, tierods etc

From a good friend I received a set of Ford Escort ZX2 trailing arms

Mx3, measured the narrow end.

Zx2

Strange thing i don't understand yet. The Mx3 and ZX2 on top of each other. Yet the mx3 seems wider.

Master brake cilinder (millenia) where I accidently had the 2 tubes reversed.

New piece of cable to finish up the wiring of the subs.

Re: WhiteFinish's Log re-installing again.

Post by WhiteFinish »

So, my electrical stuff in the car is now finished and wired up.

The engine was in and for a moment started. Besides of a faulty TPS sensor (easy fix) I've been fighting against a coolant leak !!

:crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: Terrible !

It appear the engine had some broke bolts, one of them being the coolant piping at filling neck to the bottom end. I took a chance with gasket sealing and I failed.
Take all the timing stuff off, intake off, pullies off etc

Got a helicoil kit, fixed that leak.
Than the leak from the "feeding" pipe towards the oilfilter housing started leaking.
Replaced that O-ring and continued.
Image

Now I'm at (I hope) my last leak. It seems either rear bank head gasket or Block heater block-off plate.

Put some UV-dye in the system to find it, but off course, now it's not leaking anymore.

Ow.. and some powder coated valve covers for the KLDE.
