'94 1.8 V6 Europe, OBD1 or OBD2?

Post by NLRisingSun »

Hi guys,

Just picked up my second MX3, a 1994 (february) 1.8 V6 with the new dashboard design. In europe we don't have a OBD2 connector but we do have OBD2 cars but i'm confused about what i have right now,

- ECU = K838
- Distributor = K834
- VAF = JE50

I'll add a image of my ecu (Yellow plugs on grey ecu, 3plugs)

Is it OBD1 or 2?

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Thanks guys for the answers. This means i can think about a DE or ZE swap without problems, just swap the engine and eventually get a correct ecu. :D
