Crankshaft pulley ?

I might sound stupid but here goes.

I replaced the alternator drivebelt on my GS (K8) and I noticed that when the belt was off, the outer crankshaft pulley is "loose". I can push it and wiggle it a little.

Is this normal? I thought crankshaft pulleys are one solid peice.

Seems that I might need to get a new crankshaft pulley.

Does a KL Crankshaft pulley fit a K8?

it is supposed to be solid.
a OBD1 KL crank pulley works.
I have a couple used ones I can sell cheap that are still solid if you're interestd.
