oregon cams??

Post by Elli »

Has anyone run Oregon cams, heard of Oregon cams, know anything about Oregon cams?
I have a guy offering to get me out of a bad situation ( I broke my rear two Colt Tri-flows) for less than 200 bucks. This would be f---ing IDEAL... but I'm skeptical of snake oil.

Never heard of them but more importantly what grind do they have. Here's a link to Colt cams http://www.coltcams.com/flash/ As you can see the lift/duration is around 350/200 for Jspec (klze). If he doesn't have this info then I'd say forget it.
Other than that look them over, see what kind of wear is on them, possibly mic where the bearings sit to be sure there's no excessive tolerance there.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

If they're an LLC, corporation, or have been in business for a long time, changing their name might be difficult and/or detrimental to marketing.
