A/C fittings

Post by mitmaks »

I thought R12 cars had older fittings that wouldn't work with R134a systems? Strange enough my A/C manifold goes right onto A/C fittings in my car (1993)
So I was thinking maybe my car was converted to R134a system before I got it. What do you think guys?
Here's picture for reference, my fittings are on right side of picture (R134a)

im 100% sure your car was retro fitted with R134 its pretty simple. What does your a/c label say? If it wwas done profesionally they should of fit a new R134 label to it...

I know, it's supposed to have a R134a retrofit label but didn't have one. Im currently evacuating system and hopefully have it charged up here in a bit and will have a functioning A/C. It will be 104F here Tuesday.
