Got a new trunk lift and gas door handle, gone with the yellow, in with the white.
Mooneggs made this find in the junkyard (mazda protoge I believe) and it just fits.

And another find, the Nardi Wooden shift knob. Not sure yet if I'll keep it but lets see

Thanks :D

To be honoust... I traded with a local member who is parting out. He coated everything, I was just after the bushing set, but this was easier :welder:

They are Superpro bushings

Re: WhiteFinish's Log Powder coated subframes + Bushings

Post by WhiteFinish »

So an update after a little while

The front and rear subframes have been exchanged and reinstalled again.
Brakes are mounted
- front mazda 6
- rear mx5 nb/fl

Just have to figure out how to get the e-brake working.
It's no use changing the bracket because the mounting position is different on the mx3 caliper.

Than I also loomed the enginebay harness and finishing that up shortly (i hope).
It's not going to be a wire tuck (not really possible in the mx3) but it's cleaned up.

That harness looks top notch, what did you use exactly? Not a bad idea to do if your engine bay gets hot methinks.

I'm not sure what the name is in English.
We call it snakeskin, really good stuff. It can expand to 2,5 / 3 times the regular size. This way it makes it much easier to get it over the plugs that connect to the wire.

Anyways... car is on the move.

on it's way to the painter who will paint my engine bay.
