Re: Countdown to H2o.. AaronTietje - 1993 MX3 GS
My big plans are to get the car up and running for the H2o car show in Ocean city this September. I need to have the car on the road in the next two weeks so that I have time to get any "bugs" worked out before the show.
Anywho newly completed work:
The rolecage in now bolted and seam sealed in.
The rear interior is in.
The Driver Seat is finally mocked up...... I have no more than 1/8in of space between the sparco seat and the door panel.
Mazdaspeed pedals are in....... I ended up modifying the complete protege gas pedal assembly and using it inseat of just the aluminum pedal portion.
And I got some more parts.
Planted side mount brackets,
No name harnesses to just get me by,
two new hankook tires,
Honda firewall plug for my deleted ac,
Boss hub kit,
Sparco wheel

Re: Countdown to H2o.. AaronTietje - 1993 MX3 GS
UGGGGGGGGggggggg.......
Spent the day putting the mx together....well more together.
I didn't get a ton done but I did get the axles in the JDM LSD trans. The JDM LSD comes out of the Lantis type R and you MUST have the input shafts for the axles. The driver side input shaft is about 1/4 in longer so that the snap ring will seat . It also has oil groves (they look like riffling) on the shaft. The passanger side 3 bolt intermediate shaft from the Lantis is also necessary otherwise it will not even bolt up.
I also had to rebuild a driver side axle using the lantis input portion of the axle along with a mazda mx3 driver side axle.

Pretty much the issue that we've been dealing over in North America for years. It's not getting the LSD trans that's the issue, it's the other parts that are.AaronTietje wrote:I didn't get a ton done but I did get the axles in the JDM LSD trans. I'll be here. I've got a huge garbage bag of mx parts that you need to go through before to toss them.....And I still have your door panels sitting up in the rafters.
