MX3 TRUNK SPOILER ALTERNATIVES?

Post by puromx3 »

alright for a while now ive been tossing around the idea of adapting spoilers from other cars onto the mx3. lets face it, we dont have a lot of options on the market. we have the raised spoiler, gs spoiler, wrap around spoiler on the low. raised? we have the supra style spoiler(which is stupid tall) and the famous mazdaspeed spoiler which is pretty awesome but we all know how that goes to get one.

SO..... i am just wondering if anyone has adapted any other aftermarket spoilers from other cars onto the mx3?
ive seen the gst eclipse wing molded on and it looks nice. maybe too round?
need something more agrresive angle.

DONT HATE ME FOR WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SUGGEST!!!
lol i thought about the integra type r spoiler. i believe 94-01 model.
and the srt-4 spoiler. i believe these are nice alternatives but no clue if they will fit with minor modification?

integra spoiler looks like a mini mazdaspeed. just my thought.
lets face it. as much as most of us hate hondas (no disrespect to any owners on here) cuz of ricey additudes and style some of their market parts are cool (some).
WHATS YOUR OPINION!? ALTERNATIVE IDEAS!?

I've seen quite a few different wings used on our cars and I think the stock options and the MS spoiler are probably the best looking ones. The fitment looks better although some people have fitted other spoilers with body work to make them flow but I'm still convinced the stock and MS wings are the best looking.

The spoiler that looks similar to a 2000+ Celica spoiler looks decent to me, but from what I hear it's a PITA to fit.

That "Mini Mazdaspeed" look isn't too bad either, but I'm still not sold on raised spoilers... The beauty of the MS is that it actually works.

i REALLY like the idea of the integra wing assuming it fits or fitted properly cause i think the MS wing is a bit high for my taste, not that i wouldn't run it if i had one lol

yeah. dont get me wrong the stock spoiler options are nice (which i have gs spoilers on both mine) and i love the mazdaspeed one but affordability and availability comes into play. besides, i think the stock gs spoiler n few low spoilers are becoming a bit over rated for my taste.
im only suggesting decent alternatives, and like Evo spec said, i wouldnt have a problem running a MS spoiler if i had one. lol.

today about 2pm im going to purchase a type r spoiler from this guy selling his for $40 which i think is cheap for something that might be modified. regardless if it fits or not. ill let u guys know maybe post some pics as well.

NOTE: i am not looking for aftermarket spoilers that would need a body kit to look nice and blend in. We all seen those n some look ridiculous. just trying to find something along the lines of our stock look with aftermarket feel.
KEEP THE IDEAS COMING IN.

that integra spoiler would be very cool IF you could make it fit, but im not sure it would. The nean spoiler NO do not even try it but if its mazdaspeed your after theres a silver one on ebay pretty cheap.

I've been bouncing around the idea of the MS spoiler, honestly... I don't want to spend more money on looks(I'm a paintjob away from my original "endgame" goals now), but the damn thing is tempting because it'd be the matching set.

Keep in mind that the MS spoiler is at an ideal height to reduce the blind spot. If you went with anything lower or mid range you wouldn't be able to see cars behind you very well...

i honestly believe it will work just by shaving off some of that inner fat where it meets the inner body.
