Re: WhiteFinish's Log Gearbox PowderCoating p5
Have you ever taken the car down the 1/4 mile? I am curious about the peformance gain of the cams, the nitrous and the MSD RPM activated VRIS. Very kool project!

Re: WhiteFinish's Log Gearbox PowderCoating p5
The recent updates:
- Gearbox
The outer half of the gearbox has to much worn bearingshells holder. So have to source another one.
- Megasquirt
It's hooked up, just don't dare to start it before somebody looks at my current tune
- Brakes
Rebuild all the calipers (mx5 rears and mazda 6) After sandblasting / powder coating now some new rubbers sealings.

Nope, it's one from EvilYeti.
Dutch member bought it (Yence), sold the car, and I pursuaded the old current owner to trade it with me against a OEM powdercoated one.

Re: WhiteFinish's Log Gearbox PowderCoating p5
Depending on your cams, you may get a false lean at idle due to large overlap. A good bet is to get an EGT (Exhaust gas temperature) gauge, it helps back up your lambda readings.

Re: WhiteFinish's Log Gearbox PowderCoating p5
Timing was off in the settings of Tunerstudio.
I didn't understand how it worked but somebody explained it to me...
Now works very nice.
Next thing i want to solve is the surging idle... surges around 650-750 rpm. I'm positive it could be a calm regular rpm.

Re: WhiteFinish's Log Megasquirted p5
I got a nice new box with EBC brakes
Inspired by Wythbishop and Weeds_KLZE
Fronts: Mazda 6 283mm
Rears: Mazda mx5 sports/suspension
Pads: EBC greenstuff (they don't have more agressive for those cars)
Megasquirt is till giving me a hard time.
Can't see to rev above 4100 rpm
