Dying head gasket? Running, oil in coolant.
Dying head gasket? Running, oil in coolant.
So it has been about 10k miles I have had oil getting in the coolant on my current 220k mile 626 KL-DE in my black GS She still pulls, low compression. Is it really possible for the travel on a leaking head gasket to just go one way? I have never had coolant in my oil.

Hook up coolant pressure gauge and test the system. If you start the car with the gauge installed and it shows a increase in pressure its a good chance your hg is done...

Is that the thing you can hook up to test radiator caps at the lube shops? I can get access to one of those if thats the one.
I did a compression test they were around 110, but it was the push in kind not the one that threads on. I think its wrong because 110 is kind of low to still be chirping in 3rd & starting & running everyday. She's going through 2 quarts between oil changes. But it isn't getting worse.
Most all the oil that gets into my coolant ends up in my overflow resivoir, its like the overflow is a filter for my coolant.

lol that sounds pretty bad. yeah thats the coolant pressure tester. there should be a fitting to hook it up to the rad to test for leaks.
