When I was doing my research I found a product called "Plexus" and it cleans lexan amazingly well as well as remove some of the smaller minor scratches. :2thumbsup:

Re: Mooneggs 92 MX-3 Daily Driver IP 2/5 wraparound mudguard

Post by Mooneggs »

Just received some of the final aesthetic parts I was looking for on the exterior of the DD (from Japan of course). I spotted these "wraparound mudguards" a couple years ago when I was looking for a rear bumper spoiler/apron/garnish/whateveryoucallit. Since the only OEM option was rear mudguards for the mx-3 and I knew I wanted something to augment the rear, I decided these were a nice expansion on the OEM rear mudguards. I think they will look nice with the wraparound hatch spoiler.

Once I fit them I may decided to fill in the middle "gap" although it's kind of cool with the split in the middle... And because of the cutout for the exhaust I may need to actually relocate it due to me 'slanted' exhaust tip... We'll see...

I've also included some of the stock pics of them already installed on an mx-3 to give you an idea of how they will look...

I would of loved those wraparound mud guards on mine. Found out about them after i did my miata ones (still wisht hey would of been installed better) but they would be been hard to get. Aways not sure about the gap in the middle, and the gap I would need to fit my muffler, maybe of shifted it over to gap the middle, hard to say, but those things are great, nice get!

Good score Mark! Ever considered making them wrap the full rear end? You could do side exit exhaust... :welder:

Good to know about the Plexus! Mine's a little dirty.
I remember when people were freaking out about those wrap around mud guards. I'm impressed that you found them.

IMO MS struts are overrated simply because they are rare and overpriced at this point. I have been very happy with my ksports for daily driving. I would consider them comparable to the intrax I ran for many years but with more adjustability in height and dampening and would recommend them. I haven't had a chance to race on them but soon enough :driver:

Just another +1 on the Ksports. I've had them fitted for the last couple of weeks and I really haven't a bad word to say about them.
