tie rod ends .. are there different sizes ?

Post by lucasefczynski »

hey guys , just have a quick question regarding mx3 tie rod ends and whether or not the pin diameter is a concern

i remember doing my ball joint and when i bought a new one , the pin diameter was 18 mm
go to slap it on my car and i find out that mazda made 2 diff sizes 16mm and 18mm

so then i was stuck without a car till i found a 16mm ball joint
now is all good but now tie rods need to be done ,so im turning to you guys to figure out whether or not the tie rods are diff sizes just liek the ball joints before i decide to order a set
thanks guys :)

Most 92s had smaller ball joint shafts but as far as the tie rod ends I've seen no difference. Go to RockAuto.com and compare the part numbers for different years. They should all be the same. Cheers

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
