not equipped with AC

I have a 93 GS with no AC. Ok i can roll the windows down but driving on the autobahn or highway and listening to music or try to have a conversation and you run into some problems. Now heres my question....Is it possible to equip my mx3 with ac from stuff from the scrap yard or maybe there is someone who was looking for performance or better gas mileage and got rid of there ac thats willing to part with the entire system and maybe a guide on how to put it in?

AC was a dealer installed item. I went to the Mazda dealer for parts for mine many, many years ago, and there was a dad there getting AC for his son's Mx-3. The kit was about $2000 but it sat so long at the dealer they were letting it go for $400. I sat there as he decided, cause hearing that, if he wasn't going to, I was going to take it. He did, but still.

so just an update on the ac issue. I decided to swap out my ac from the mx-6 but found out that im not able to recharge the system becuase it use R12!! Is it like this in america as well R12 is banned or is it just here in germany?

The older models used R12. There were R134-a ones too. Just need the R134-a compressor.

R12 works better though... but you have to hate the environment.

lmfao curse mother nature for not being able to support humans destructive nature j/p bbut yeah i think i will look into getting another compressor for the mx6 and ill see whats up then...thanks alot mate

Too bad I didn't know you needed a system. I threw mine out a wile ago.
