Trannyt cost and Engine swap question

Hi our of curiousity, how much does a 5 speed v6 transmission rebuilt cost? <P>Also if i swap an engine and want to be sure that I don't encounter any problems because of the rest of the parts being worn out from high milage, what else do you guys think needs replacing on an MX, besides the engine and brakes.

Trans: balk rings (aka synchro rings), major bearings if there's any play, transmission mounts, engine mounts<BR>Clutch: pressure plate, disc, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, slave cylinder<BR>Suspension: struts, springs, strut bearings, ball joints, steering ends, bushings everywhere, sway bar bushings & end links<BR>Body: weatherstripping<BR>Brakes: pads, replace rotors, rebuild or replace calipers, brake hoses, slider boots, inspect steel brake lines and replace as necessary<BR>I dunno, whatever breaks, is making noise, doesn't work like it should, or looks really crappy.
