I was thinking the same... I have never seen a trailing arm on these cars that's an I beam style. I have several sets and all square. hmm weird.

GS and RS are not the same. Different offset at the bottom end because the spindles are different. Just FYI.

I'm not sure about the front, but I just finished a rear disc conversion, and have both the GS and RS pre 94 arms to compare, and there the same.

^^ exactly, originally I only transferred GS Hubs for my RW disk conversion. later on an entire rear end to my car from a GS and arms were all the exact same. And I have Protege and GTX trailing arms from my AWD conversion, and they were the same... Could they be off a 96GS out of Canada. I know they were supposed to have a different rear sway bars. maybe they had different trailing arms as well.

When I designed the poly bushings I had to measure everything.

The RS arms that I used had a shorter bushing than the GS. If you look at the RS trailing arm at the end that connects to the back of the spindle the arm is centered in the bushing. On the GS, the bushing is the same diameter but wider and not centered on the arm.

I also checked them against a Protege and a 323 to see if the RS bushings would cross to those cars and they were the same as the RS. As with many suspension items, the MX-3 GS traililng arms appear to be unique to the GS. At least that was what I found.

And they have different part numbers...
