Hatch Cover

Post by anjin1982 »

So after months of putting it off i finally started to start my project of giving myself i hatch cover (since my last broke to a point in which it looked better off than on) and after test fitting the 1/4 inch birch i noticed theres to ropes hanging from underneath the soon to be cover...whats it for? i know the top ones attach to the hatch to lift with the glass but the bottoms ones?...

Theres clips inside the trunk area so that it stays down supposedly. They are on the side of the panels just forward of the strut towers.

I'd post a pic if i had one.
