ENGINE FLOODING AND NOT STARTING

Post by korpit »

I have a 96 with a 93 1.8 L K8 in it. The engine is flooding and dying randomly. It have been running like a top. I did the HEI Mod to it in December and reverted back to the original distributor. The spark I get is large but orange. No probelm turn over. Even when it runs, you can smell the fuel.

You didn't mention when you went from the old disty to the 96 did you reverse the wires back on the 3 wire plug on the disty. Of course we know 2 of the 3 wires are reversed on the 96 from the 92+ disty.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
