Hi ALL,
I have a 1994 Mx3 RS 1.6 DOHC. I pulled off the throttle body today and cleaned and adjusted it as per the article on the forum. Since putting it back on it now has a hissing sound coming from it. I have checked all the vacuum lines and sprayed carb cleaner and did everything else and there is no vacuum leak coming from it or around it.
I can however make the hissing get louder or less if I screw in or out the Idle air adjust screw. If i open it up it gets louder and if I close it in is gets less.
any ideas??

Don't adjust the screw without being in daignostic mode or you need to reset the IAC again.
Its normal. Just ignore it. Do you have some sort of aftermarket intake on it?
Is your idle okay?

Re: Throttle Body Hissing
I had it in diagnostic mode when I did all the idle adjustments. I have the stock intake only. The idle seems to be just fine now that I have set it all up. It just didn't hiss prior to me cleaning and adjusting it and then all of a sudden it was hissing.

When air moves past a sharp edge, it hisses. Maybe cleaning it revealed such an edge that was previously covered in gunk.

I have the same problem, how to reset the IAC?
