Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
Now right now i'm torn between the AWR and the mazdaspeed mounts. Everyone on here raves about the AWR 88 durometer mounts but I can't help but think about the mazdaspeed ones from corksport. It dosen't say how stiff the mazdaspeed mounts are just that they are 35% stiffer than stock but they are almost triple the price, are they worth it?

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
For 200 bucks the AWR are a bargain for what you get.. They are well built and work well. I have a set of 88 duro's but I dont really like em, to much vibration translating into the car and drivetrain for a DD IMO. 300 bucks for all the mounts is not to bad, but thats getting into the upper level of $$. I would either look for used or fill stock mounts if I was to buy mounts again. Filled mounts soften out alot more then AWR's do over time and become more managable. You can also get a softer front probe AWR mount IIRC and it would be worth to ask about getting a rear to match. I think I may also do that.

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
I would totally jump all over those mounts if they were a complete set of them, but let me know what you think of the AWR mounts after you drive with them for a while

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
I have been running the MSP mounts from corksport for over a year now and I have no complaints. When I'm working on the engine and I hit the throttle the engine does not move. I do notice that the dash rattles a bit more than it used to but it's not bothersome at all.

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
I have AWR 88 with probe front. Let's just say that idle is fine but when you are in second gear and you are going very very slow, like 5kmph, it's not good lol. Vobration fest, whereas before the AWR mounts, the engine was smooth even in 2nd gear rolling real slow.

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
ive had mazdaspeed mounts on my NA Ze since 2006 and had no problems, there is a bit of engine movement seen in vid but think they are not too hard or soft.
Dont know if run on a ze turbo what they would be like tho.

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
I forget which AWR mounts I have, 70 or 88, but I've had no issues with them. They're actually quite great. A bit of vibration at idle, but once I get going, it's almost as smooth as with stock rubber mounts. These V6s are pretty smooth engines overall, and so are the gearboxes, not a lot of vibration if everything is well sorted.

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
I would go with the AWR. I'm using 88 in both of my cars and the vibration is not that noticeable... but I would think the 70's would be comfortable for anyone. I feel that the MS mounts are too soft (I started with them and they wore out too quickly IMO).

Re: Mazdaspeed VS AWR engine mounts.
i have to agree with most everyone else. the awr's are sweet. but they do add to vibrations. the MS ones arent much beyond the stock ones from my experience. there just not as failure prone. lol
