transmission and manual swap...help!!!

hey guys need some help here.... here's what's up.... i have an autozam az-3 with a B5doch in it...i dont know if it is the b5ze or otherwise....nevertheless i've got a friend with a normal mx3 the 1.6dohc B6.
here is the prob...i've got a tranny and he's got a manual...he wants the tranny and i want the manual.... everything is changing over all i need from his car ie. the pedals, shifter,etc.............. and vice versa.
what i want to know is if the entire B5 harness needs to be transferred to him for the tranny to work.............????? or if he can somewhat piggyback on the b6 harness only the parts of the B5 harness needed for the tranny to work...
do i also remove my throttle body for this swap ie. for the tps sensor ???............ i saw that the clip on to the throttle bodies of the both look diff........???? soo...
i really dont want to remove my entire harness...

I don't believe a manual-> automatic has ever been attempted. I know the harness that goes to the auto trans is not part of the engine harness, so it would seem that you'd need to swap the entire harness.

would have been easier to trade cars, eh?

If he wants the ATX, I believe so. Just looking at the car I'm swapping ATX-> MTX, the transmission harness runs by the LHS headlight, and through that fender into the interior, to the TCM.
