Thanks in advance.
I need to confirm these 3 coolant sensor.
Black=fan control
Grey=ecu reader
Single male connection=temp guage?
The reason I'm asking is I don't have the grey 1 on my milli motor and I'll be running a thermosensor for fan control. Any drawbacks from deleting the grey sensor? Won't lose any sort of power right?

Re: Need sensor confirmation
If your new engine only has the black sensor with the single-wire, then the ecu (which i imagine is the one that came with this engine) will only be looking for one coolant temp sensor for fuel purposes. It doesn't matter which one since they are both the same type of sensor, the ecu just uses them differently. If your harness has an input for both sensors and the single wire, just plug one of the inputs into the black sensor and the other into the single wire.
You can just leave the other sensor there to plug the hole if you want, it wont harm anything, or you could swap coolant necks to make it look cleaner if you wish. Long story short, it's much easier to swap from a 2 CTS engine to one instead of the other way around

Re: Need sensor confirmation
Both 2 wire sensors are RTDs but not the same. Different electrical connectors and resistance is different for the given temperature of coolant. Obviously use the one that mates with the connectors you have. I may doublecheck later, but agree that the gray one in the middle of your picture is the one used for fuel control, black for fan and single wire for dash gage.

Re: Need sensor confirmation
hmmm, my engine is missing the black connector, that grey connector is green on mine, and the singe male is the same.
Why would your fuel need to read your coolant temp?
