FS: Custom Hidden Sub Box
Custom built sub box. This was in my '94 Escort GT, but should fit MX3 as well. I don't have any pics of it installed in my car... I can't find those pics anymore.
This is a custom fiberglass enclosure that was built in the spare tire well. This leaves you wilth %100 fully useable trunk (great if you need to haul stuff, or ski/snowboard etc.).
The top has been carpeted, but I had my trunk carpet over it anyway, and no one even knew it was there. It was built for a 12" Alpine sub that can be sold with the enclosure. This is a custom built box, and one of the best ways to have a sub, but not lose trunk space.
Asking $160 for box, or $200 with sub and box. (Sub is 12" Alpine Type E sub that works perfect. Sounds VERY good a car this size.)

Re: FS: Custom Hidden Sub Box
Not to sound too mean but, the quality and finish seem a bit poor and it was fitted to an escort not an mx3 so I doubt youll get many takers. Not to mention there arent any pics of where the amp mounts in there and where the wiring goes. And on a side note a randomly built box to fit a space never sounds as good as a well calculated one built for a specific subs volume requirements. Not to mention the thickness and insulation methods are important as well. And well as for me, I prefer to keep a full size spare on hand, no triple A here just more tool storage in that lil cubby.

It mounts in the spare tire well. it's not gonna sit in the trunk, and you can't see it anyway... So I don't know why you'd be worried about the 'finish' of it.
Also, you mount the amp wherever you want it. I had it under the driver seat. Wiring comes up through the bottom.
