the 36 doesnt throw a cel... Is it burnt out or something? I cant pull codes how do you pull them when its like this

How r u checking for codes?? Does your cel come on if you put in the "on" position or start the car??

It wont light up even in diagnostic mode

The CEL should come on when you turn the key on and then go out of there are no codes. If it never comes on ever I might be concerned, but if it comes on and then goes out after you start the car it just means that you have no codes.

Correct.

If the CEL is not even coming on at all then you either have a short somewhere in the harness or the bulb is burnt out in the cluster

Yea it doesn't light up period... What should I do about this bleh...

Replace the bulb. Take out the cluster and on the back there are little turn knobs, the top left is the cel obviously. Turn it and the bulb will come out. Steal one from ur mx6 cluster

Check the FAQs section, KL31/36 ECUs don't have a CEL.
Note that Jspec ECU's did not come with a CEL indicator so you will no longer have a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.
Jump 10 and gnd and then jump F and B+ with a LED to pull codes.

How do they pull there codes over there? If there is no CEL Led in the diag. box?!

Why not just use a test light :p Do you know where the list is for codes ?

He meant FEN. Connect FEN and B+ to a LED. It works with mine KL36 ECU.
