Hello all,
I read over some of the 4 cylinder and v6 posts but couldnt really find anything on them, and then i didnt know which one to post under. Anyway, would a v6 engine from a 1992 mx6 fit into 1994 mx3 originally 4 cylinder. I know that it wouldnt be just a plug and play and im off into the sunset but is it too much of a hassel to do this or is it possible. My mx3 kicked the bucket and i want to revive it with this inexpensive engine and trans with low mileage.
Thank You
V6 Question
Re: V6 Question
Possible, but with all the work and money you'll spend it would be easier to replace it with another 4 cylinder. Get a BPT instead.

Re: V6 Question
you need to replace the Harness with a K8, V6 harness.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: V6 Question
It will be alot of work, the harness (both engine harness and dash harness) will need ot be repalced with a V-6 version, you also need a V6 ECU, crossmember, guage cluster and other things.
I would get a BP instead. a BPT isa turbo motor and still alot of work, but a BP is much more simple and they were in so many cars I'm sure you can find a decent one easily. The trans you have will bolt right up to a BP too.
