Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Newbie!! =]

Post by JosieGirl »

Hi there, my name is Brittany. =]

I'm 20 years old, living in Kitchener, working full time at a crappy job.

I fell in love with the Mx3 about a year ago, but never actually had the money to buy one...

So I dreamed...

Until last Sunday, when I found my dream car on Kijiji. Purchased this steal of a car from some guy who had no idea what he had in his hands. $500.00 cash, and it was mine.

As you can see in my sig, it's a 1993 GS model, with a swapped KL-ZE engine (Only 30, 000 clicks!) and full Magnaflow exhaust.

Cosmetically, it's not in great shape. My boyfriend and I have been doing constant body-work since we brough it home. Had a large dent in the right rear quarter panel. I assure you, the whole house smells of bondo, lol.

Anyways, this is the beginning of my first project car. I'm really looking to enjoy this car, and throw a whole lot of time and money into it. It's my baby!

Just wanted to say hi to the forums, I'm sure I'll be here a lot. Hoping to meet some other Mx3 enthusiasts in the area. =]

Sick! Welcome to the scene, it's always nice to have more girls on here, it's hard to find some these days that are into the whole car thing. 500 bucks for a ZE'd MX-3 is a steal!!! Curious to see in what shape the body is. Definitely come out to some of the meets in Toronto, we have 'em once every few weeks. And join the group on facebook!

Yes pics, oh, of the car too. lol Take your time to get to know the handling of the car. If it has a ZE in it it can get a little squirrelly when you go to WOT (wide open throttle) so take it easy for the first bit. (This is more aimed at your BF lol). Start a Work Log so we can follow your progress. Don't hesitate to ask for help and advice either. Thats what this site is all about. Oh and don't forget to donate to MX-3.com Cheers Dan

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Indeed. Good call...I should add, although we all tend to do suspension, which just adds to the ZE goodness, one of the main things that should be done is very good brakes. Trust me, it's easy to get carried away and not notice how fast you're going, and you get up in speed much quicker than your regular Mx-3, so you'll need to be able to stop as quick as you can accelerate.

And try to behave, remember, 50-over and you'll lose the car and license, and that car can easilly break 200km/h (pending any limiters that have been removed)
