Post by youdirtyfox »

Firstly like to say Hi to all from the UK :D
Secondly could anyone tell me what Turbo came as standard on a euro/UK '88 323
and I take it the mani is a straight bolt on job?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
Regards
Sam.

VJ-14 American BF Model 323GTX
VJ-20 BG Model 323 GTX (1800cc) Jap Imports
VJ-23 323 GTR

My hunch tells me that the earlier ones would be a VJ-11. Any IHI turbo will bolt up though.

Are you saying "Hi, to all from the UK" or "Hi to all, from the UK"?

I think as long as it comes off a B6 you’re ok. Whether or not it’s the best turbo for the job I can’t say.

It's cool Im just after the manifold really for now,
will pick a turbo with the right spec later, not going balls to the wall
mental boost! just a light pressure 160hp will do for now.

Ive got a custom built tubular t3 flanged b6 manifold for sale, let me know if it would be something you are interested in. Shipping would probably suck but its a nice stainless manifold built by JWmotorsports.

I believe the 323 turbo stuff only works on the DOHC 1.6

the only turbo that will bolt to your fanimold(giggle) without modification will be a vj series IHI turbo. you can source them from several different Ford/Mazda models.
