Post by mazdamxstyle »

hey mazda owners! I just painted my center vent but now i cant get off the ones on the sides. I also cant get off the center pieces (the one that goes around the deck and the one that goes around the stick shift) any help on how to get these off would be greatly appreciated thanks!

I recently have done this. the side ones you have to pry out carefully but more forcefully than the center vents. To get the center piece off around the deck you need to remove the two screws under the center vents. it is just clipped on after that but is easier to get off if you remove the part around the shifter. four screws + 2 pop rivits hold the shifter piece on. two of them are easy to see, they are on the side and the pop rivits are with them. just pull the center piece of the pop rivit out and pull on the whole rivit to et it out. the other two screws are by the join where the ebrake section meets the shift section. hope this helps some
