Finally...........After A 2 Year Wait!

Post by 93vtecklr »

The deposit was laid down almost two years ago, number 5 on the list for Red Deer. 2010 Camaro, RS/SS package, Inferno orange exterior, 6.2L 400hp all aluminum V8. Taken off the carrier last night, PDI'd this morning. Sunday cruises are now a little more interesting! Darool Darool.

BTW, it's my mom's. I already talked to Gordon Pike, owner of pike wheaten chev dealership, gave him a thousand bucks, and now I'm on the list for 2011!!!! Mine will be exactly the same, but with 22's, full stereo, and power goodies!

I have a loyalty credit from when i bought my 08 silverado, the poo-mobile, so I used that. Either way, I lose a thousand bucks off a new vehicle if chev goes belly up! But I'm sure they'll make it, considering everybodys been sayin the big 3 are in trouble for the last 3 years.

Oh ya, since it's the RS/SS the stripes still have to go on. After the stripes are on, the front clip is getting 3m'd. Man oh man, driving that car is insane! The top of the doors come up to your ears! The interior envelopes you, and literally feels like a cockpit. I can't wait to get mine!!!!!!

It is surprisingly easy to drive and park. Vision is restrictive for shoulder checks, but otherwise visibility is pretty good. Better than the mx for that, but my car has heart... :love2:

Funny story, I turned onto gaetz ave from fueling up during rush hour traffic and was afraid that I'd never make it. Everybody stopped! It was like parting of the seas man, people just stopped, and let me go! Man I love this car! HAHAHA I almost forgot, I got cocky beside a challenger at a red light......I didn't race. He was saying that I wasted my money. I was kinda glad he thought it was mine haha. I just turned to him and said, hey dude, nice intrepid! Then the light turned green and he screamed away HAHAHA!!!!!

I totally want to drive one.
How much do you lose as soon as you drive these off the lot? 10-15 grand? Hard to say being as tho there is a waiting list for them.
Any idea what the power to weight ratio is on the SS? I'm too lazy to google that one.

Two points of concern:

1. Automagic
2. Inability to transform into a heavily armed bipedal robot

Ya i keep blastin her bout the auto, but it's what she wanted. And the depreciation isn't that bad, considering you get major discounts for paying cash. MSRP was over 50, and she had a bunch of extras added on, but she paid barely over 40.
